Leaderboard Update:

Sea Change, with the heaviest fish currently weighed, decided that they needed to disqualify their fish based on their own review of the tournament angling rules. Obviously this was a painful decision, but a truly honorable one.

The sportsmanship that this crew has displayed is the ideal to which we should all strive and is what makes the Virginia Beach Tuna Tournament great. They made a great catch but an unintentional angling error under tournament rules makes it ineligible for the tournament. The VBTT wishes to extend a heartful thank you to Craig Irwin, Shane Hatcher, Mark Weirich, James Ryan and K. McGee Frazier Jr. for their sportsmanship and honorable decision. We trust that our participants and the sportfishing community as a whole will join us in honoring and appreciating a truly great catch. We already have our first entry for 2015.
